Josh just sighed as he covered his head with his blanket. The sun was so bright this morning, like every other morning. He always regrets staying up late at night, doing whatever, only to be woken up by the sun streaming in through the window. But, he never learns.
"Ugh. Why do I keep doing this to myself..." he moaned.
As he managed to get up and out of bed, he groggily gathered some clothes and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower.

He looked through the fridge to find some breakfast, but didn't see anything particularly pleasing. He already checked the cupboards and pantry, but nothing struck his fancy. He sighed as he gathered up his wallet and keys, and made it out the door. The moment he left the house, his nose was struck with a pleasing smell. He turned to the side, spotting someone grilling at the side of the street. Strange. It was early in the morning, so who could be up grilling something? He raised his eyebrows, unsure of what to make of it, but decided to head over there anyway. As he approached, he saw a trio of boys manning a stall, with one grilling burgers, one cleaning things up, and one...Holding a cardboard sign.
"Burgers! Only $8!" the boy with the sign said.
"Whoa, $8 for a burger!?" Josh said.
"That's right! We have very little understanding on the value of money, so we went with the cheapest we could think of!" the sign-bearing boy said.
"Of course, we could just market our burgers as the best tasting to make up for the ludicrous price." the one cleaning said.
"Well it's not untrue if we go with that." the one grilling said.
Josh looked at the three, and layed a hand on his stomach. He was hungry now! Shrugging his shoulders, he looked at the grill, hearing the sizzle of meat and smelled the scent of cooking.
"I guess I'll buy one." he said.
The boys looked at him, then began working together. The one cooking flipped the patty over his shoulder, and the one cleaning caught it with a bun. He placed the condiments and greens in, and gave it to the sign-bearing one. He placed down the sign, pulled out a plastic wrapper, and wrapped the burger before handing it to Josh. All three returned to their duties as Josh rummaged his wallet for money, and handed it to them.
"Pleasure doing business with you, sir." the one cleaning said.

Josh returned to his home afterwards. He smiled as he sat at the dining table, unwrapping the burger. Once it was exposed, he breathed in the warm aroma of grilled meat. He licked his chops as he took a bite. Flavor! He chewed on it, savoring the taste, and swallowed. Now he felt hungry for more. He kept eating, taking bite after bite, and soon finished off the whole thing. He looked down at the empty wrapper in his hands, and sighed.
"Well, that was a nice breakfast." he said.
Suddenly, he felt...Uncomfortable. He stood up and headed up to his room. His body felt weird, so he began stripping down to check...And found short brown fur popping up and growing over his skin.
"W-what the heck!?" he said.
He brushed his hands over the fur on his body, feeling the somewhat softness underneath his hands. Then, he felt his arms tingling. He looked at them, seeing a thin membrane pulling itself out of his arms. He looked down, seeing it pull out of the sides of his torso, and found it gently push at his underwear. He blushed a little as he checked his surroundings, and pulled his briefs off. He sighed with relief. The fur was long and thick enough to cover any...Naughty bits. But he still felt concerned. He watched as the membrane appeared on his waist, then his legs, then at his ankles.
"I'm turning into an animal...But what?" he wondered out loud.
He felt his face twist around. He touched it with his clawed hands, feeling a snout with a somewhat upturned nose. He felt his ears twitch, so he felt them with his hands, finding them to be rather large and partly rounded.
"Big ears, upturned nose, fur, wings from the arms down to the feet...Am I a bat?"
He felt his backside, feeling a small tail grow out from behind him. Once the changes were finished, he checked his entire body again. Brown fur, long webbed fingers with claws, clawed feet, wings from the hands down to the ankles, bat-like face, large ears...
"Yup, I'm a bat. I wonder what happened?" he said.
He thought back to his transformation, thinking on what may have caused it. But the only thing that could come up would be the burger. Now he wanted to talk to those kids about it. He looked back at his clothes...And wondered if he can still fit them on him.

Luckily, he can still wear clothes just fine. The membrane that made up his wings were elastic enough to be compressed and stretched onto his body when he wears clothing. Dressed in a plain grey shirt, jeans and jacket, he grabbed hold of the front door and opened it, only to get blinded by the sunlight.
"Ack! So bright! Oh, right. New eyes. I hope my ears don't get damaged from noise too..."
He closed the door and ran upstairs to grab a pair of shades. Once they were on, he tried going outside again, with success. He sniffed the air, still finding the smell of burgers, and turned to see the stall was still there. The three boys were still selling, apparently. Josh walked up to them, catching their attention.
"Oh, hey! So did you like it?" the sign-bearer asked.
"Yeah, I did. But you didn't tell me I'd turn me into a bat. Not cool, dudes." he said.
"Well, you wouldn't have believed us if we told you. Besides, our food is meant to bring out your inner beast. Doesn't it feel nice to be that way?" the cook asked.
Josh thought for a moment and nodded his head. "Yeah, it kinda does."
"So, are you here to complain, or ask for a reversal antidote, or something?" the cleaner asked.
"Mmm...Nope. I think I just want to say, it's kinda weird, but thanks."
The three looked at the bat, as if doubting their ears.
"You're...Thanking us?" the cleaner asked.
"Yeah. It feels nice. Besides, I think I can make money as a celebrity this way, or something."
"Well...You're actually one of the first people to thank us, so...You're welcome!" the sign-bearer said.
Josh just smiled as he looked at them. Then, a thought popped into his head.
"Oh yeah! I haven't introduced myself! I'm Josh." the bat said.
"I'm Guilmon!" the cook said.
"I'm Lucario." the cleaner said.
"And I'm Wolfy!" the sign-bearer said.
"Great! It's good to meet you guys!"
And another TF story. In this one, we've got a pretty chill dude looking for a decent breakfast. And what could be more decent than a nice, juicy, greasy burger?
