Everett was a young man who loved to draw. As an artist, he always filled his room with various sketches and colored drawings. He lived alone for the most part, trying to make a name in the world. His drawings contained various pictures of landscapes, which he enjoyed making. However, he did have a wish. He wanted to see these landscapes with his own eyes, and not through his imagination and through his drawings. As he sighed, he placed his pencil down and looked at the latest. It was the sun setting with clouds all around it. He placed the sketch in his portfolio before looking at the clock. 4:30 pm. Might as well go grab an early dinner or whatever. Standing up, he grabbed his wallet, the house keys, his phone, and headed out.

As he walked through the streets, he looked around. The fast food places were pretty cheap, but he disliked unhealthy food a bit. The proper restaurants were too expensive, so he can't eat at those either. He sighed as he kept walking, soon finding himself in the park. He heard the sound of crunching, so he followed the sound to a small stand. It looked like a child's stand, with a sign that says "10$". Just that. He looked at the wares, which were...Pretty barren. In fact, there was only one piece of bread on the stand. Everett looked around, but saw no owner.
"Hello?" he called out.
Suddenly, a boy stumbled to the stand, standing behind it. He straightened his red shirt and swallowed something.
"Hello! Welcome to my food stand! Would you like to buy something?" he said.
He looked down, seeing only that one piece of bread there.
"Um...You only have this bread for sale?"
"I...Have a habit of eating our wares, heheh. I mean, I could always make more, but then I eat more, it's a cycle. Anyway, would you like to buy this croissant? It's delicious!"
Everett looks down at the bread, then back up at the boy, who smiled widely at him. Shrugging his shoulders, he pulled out a ten dollar bill and handed it over.
"Thank you! Enjoy your pastry!" the boy said.
Everett grabbed the bread and headed off.

He walked around the park, croissant in his hand. He enjoyed the little nature walk around the area, taking in the sights he sees on a daily basis. He often goes out to get inspiration from his surroundings. As he sat down on a bench, he began eating the bread in his hand. It was nice and tasty, crunchy exterior with a soft interior. As he finished it off, he licked his lips, hoping for more of it, but knew he just ate it all.
"Aah...That was nice. Too bad there was only one. But then again, I might end up spoiling my appetite."
He took a deep breath as he adjusted his pants. They felt...Uncomfortable for some reason. As he looked down, he saw black feathers sprouting on his arms. He stood up in alarm, looking his arms over, feeling needle-sized pressure spots where the feathers were growing.
"W-what's happening to me!?"
The feathers grew all over his body, and his shoes felt very tight. He looked down just in time to see his taloned feet burst out of the shoes, tearing it to shreds. He felt something push against the back of his shirt, as two new limbs tore through the clothing. It spread out as large feathers popped up, the limbs showing itself as a pair of large bird wings. Everett felt his lips go stiff. He placed his feathered hands over his mouth, feeling it turn into a beak. The grey mass pushed out of his face, as his nose turned into two small holes on his beak, and his mouth reshaped to match his new body. Everett felt his ears, the body parts missing, but found two holes in the sides of his head, and that his hair had turned into feathers as well. He looked down at his hands, seeing it completely feathery, and his feet had grey scales covering it, with three toes and a talon at the back. Suddenly, he realized why his pants felt uncomfortable. He moved his hands to his behind, feeling a feathery tail had popped up at the base of his spine, ripping a hole through his pants. He inspected his new body, unsure of what to do.
"I...I can't believe I'm a bird now...I gotta get help somehow...Maybe that kid could...Wait, that kid..."
Everett thought back to the croissant that he ate, which might have turned him into this. But it didn't make sense, though. The red-haired guy said he usually eats the stock, so why is he still normal? Well, it wouldn't hurt to head back and ask anyway.

Everett was very careful as he traversed the park. He hid behind trees, in bushes, all to avoid getting spotted by anyone. Well, almost anyone. As he managed to spot that familiar stand, he saw the same boy looking down at the empty table before him. For some odd reason, the boy never left the stand when he had no particular reason to stay. Everett slowly revealed himself and approached. The boy looked up and smiled.
"Hi! Come back for more? Sorry, there isn't any more." he said.
"You know it's me? Then you must've known what that bread did to me!" Everett said.
"Oh, yeah. The croissant brought out your inner animal. Besides, it's not all bad."
Everett eyed the boy as he smiled. He pointed up, making the crow look up into the sky, seeing the figure of a bird flying around.
"My least favorite brother is up there as we speak. Wouldn't you like to go up there and meet him? He's got something to show you."
Everett looked back up, then at the boy again. He smiled as he nodded his head. Everett gathered his bearings, and with a flap of his wings, he flew up into the sky.

Everett felt excitement as he flew higher and higher. With each beat of his jet-black wings, he rose into the air, meeting with the bird already sharing the air with him. As he grew closer, he saw that the bird looked like a bird, but at the same time did not. The bird was white, with a blue belly, and it had a blue mask around its eyes. It had a long tail, with blue spikes on the end of its tail, and a multitude of blue spikes on its back. The creature's beak turned up in a smile as Everett joined it in the air.
"Hello, crow man. I am Lugia." the white and blue bird said.
"I'm Everett. Your brother, the red-haired guy, said you had something to show me?"
Lugia's smile grew wider as he pointed his head towards a direction. Everett looked, seeing the sun begin to set in the horizon. It was, in Everett's mind, a picture of heaven. Beautiful was an understatement. The sun dazzled as it's end touched the ground. The clouds framed the view just so, and the sky burned a brilliant orange replacing its dominant blue.
"I heard you love sceneries, and you love drawing them. But most of all, you love seeing them with your own eyes." Lugia said.
"I do. But, how did you..."
"We did our research. Now, doesn't this fill the empty void in your heart? The reason you draw landscape pictures?"
Everett could only smile and nod his head. He just wanted to enjoy this moment for as long as he could.
Here's a new TF story for you all. And also, don't you just love scenery? Picturing the beautiful landscapes with your own eyes and remembering them for all time? Yeah, gorgeous, isn't it? Anyway, bird tf. Woohoo!
